Module 1: Business Innovation Mindsets and Skillsets

Workshop #1: Driving Innovation in a Changing World: Design Thinking for Physician Leaders

Design thinking is the process of creating new value through the lens of unmet needs. It is an innovation methodology that results in customer-centered business practices that are identified through ideation, customer interviews, and prototyping service models. It requires the ability to sit with ambiguity, challenge of the status quo, and suspend disbelief throughout the ideation process. With practice, you can use design thinking to overcome bottlenecks and work with your team to generate ideas that drive innovation.
